Do you take time to just be? Lately I have found myself doing more of that. No background noise other than normal everyday household sounds. Just me, my pets and my tinnitus. Unfortunately, even in the absence of all other noise I’ll never have total silence. Still, I enjoy the quiet times of just being.
Times like that is a good time for meditation or prayer. A time to reconnect with my inner self. To just be at peace.
I find joy in a sunrise or a sunset… In the mountains or hills… In an ocean or lake… In the desert or plain! I can find peace in nature wherever it is. I am at home in the city or the country. I think my ability to acclimate is helping me on my journey to a more peaceful place.
I guess that’s why I love camping especially sitting in front of a campfire. Just listening to the crackling of the fire and the sounds of nature. It gives me a time to just be!
This daily disconnect is healthy. I am making it into a habit. I think it will help me in my quest for inner peace.
I hope this isn’t sounding too preachy. I am just working through things and you are lucky to come along for the ride.
Love, Peace and Light! Rita
